This day started early for me, right on the tail of the previous day; but I was not tired! I was so inspired by this couple.

Their pre-wedding session in our studio grounds produced stunning images, from which the couple chose a portrait to display at their reception.

But let me speak of the style. Brig knew EXACTLY what she wanted, and boy! Did it happen!

Wanting a 1930’s-1940’s movie classic look; she looked fabulous in her gown, makeup and hairstyle topped off with a gorgeous fascinator completed the effect. Tony was in traditional yet stylish top-hat & tails with a cane. The day was chock-a-block full of surprises!

Frank from Playtime Video productions was there to capture all the movement of the day.

In keeping with the emphasis on style, Brigette chose Royalty Weddings with their beautifully maintained Rolls Royce and Jaguar vintage vehicles.

The ceremony was held at the Holy Name of Mary church in Hunter’s Hill; one of Sydney’s best known and respected churches.

The weather was glorious, and so we moved on into the city to create the images that Brigette wanted. We used locations around the back streets of the Rocks to recreate a great 1930’s feel. I cannot wait until those images are complete. Also a stop at Hyde Park’s Archibald fountain before we had to zip off to Curzon Hall at Marsfield.

Those who know me will know that Curzon Hall is one of my favourite Sydney locations to shoot at, and for Brigette; the results will be spectacular. She arranged for us to get there early, before her reception so we could make best use of the grounds and light. But there is never enough time for me!

She chose the Banquet Room to hold their reception, and that’s when the fun started!

Not only did each member of the bridal party have their own musical theme; but the newly married Brigette and Tony entered to the strains of “The Phantom of the Opera“. Dressed in stunning original genuine Ventetian masks; they looked like a scene from the masquerade sequence of that same opera! Brigette organised all the special decor and flowers for the hall, as everything had to be just right. And it was! Never has the Banquet Room looked so good!

The evening moved at a brisk pace with entertainment provided via Troy and crew from T.A.S Entertainment and DJ from DC Music. Still, there were surprises in store for their eager guests:

In a surprise move “Jason Jackson” a premier Michael Jackson impersonator burst in with his team of backup dancers and performed a solid set of Michael Jackson scenes from many hits including “Thriller”, “Billy Jean”, “Bad” and many others. As if that were not enough, he brought the groomsmen and other “volunteers” into the act to teach them “groin grabs”, “Moonwalk” and “Jackson spins”. Of course, Tony the groom won the most popular performer as voted by the audience!

Vocalist Troy and backup singer entertained the crowd who was soon dancing away!

At the end of the night, when it was all over; Brigette was so happy. Everything she had dreamt about had happened. Now all that remains is to complete their images. They are going to be just great!

Thank you Brigette for entrusting this honour to me!
