Most probably this is the last image of famous shipwreck Sygna, taken on the 4th of June, at 3.02.44pm , right before the sea claimed it in the huge storm.

The Sygna was a famous attraction to tourists and locals alike, place to go to take wedding photos; she was one of the most photographed landmarks in the Hunter since it ran aground in 1974. Such a sad event for Hunter region, but I am so happy to have my camera with me that day.

Almost a fluke, as we were there on holidays and our friends took us to Stockton beach to show around when it was a sudden break in the rain in late afternoon. At 2.40pm it started raining again so we decided to leave and, as we were leaving, friends asked me if I ever saw Sygna. I said "no" so they drove little further along the beach to show me the Iconic wreck.

And this is the photo I took at 3.02.44pm.  Read Newcastle Herald article here
