Period portrait photography. Absolutely. Yes. Every time I have a chance to shoot this type of portrait photography. It demands more attention to detail, definitely more time spent on styling, makeup and set-ups, but so so worth it. Period portraits suit family photography – be it the whole family with adults and kids or just siblings. Or, of course it suits individuals who want to recreate those nostalgic times, those visually powerful, artistic, lavish portraits. Classic portraits that eventually become family heirlooms. As Aristotle stated, “The aim of Art is to present not the outward appearance of things, but their inner significance; for this, not the external manner and detail, constitutes true reality.”
Boudoir photography sessions. Vintage, fantasy, natural, glamour – there are so many faces to boudoir photography.
Old Hollywood glamour photography. My new favourite image, taken to create the feel of Old Hollywood glamour photography. I adore it. So much fun – setting up the room, the mood, choosing the props, thinking of creative lighting. Then, of course – posing, posing, posing. And… final touches in Photoshop to bring the whole vision alive.
Portrait photography awards in London International competition. That was a nice surprise to come back home to this email. 2 Golds and 3 Highly Commended Awards in London International competition SWPP. For portrait photography category, for boudoir photography and for vintage glamour photography. Happy I have remembered to participate in the last day of admissions. Didn’t do any adjustments – just admitted them the way they were presented to my beautiful clients 🙂 Happy Dance!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
