Kira’s Magic Touch: Turning snaps into works of Art

For me, my photography is all about passion, emotion, magic and commitment. Photography has become my life and my retreat. I laugh and cry. I feel sadness and joy. I play and sing in my photographs.  For me, it is not just about shooting a wedding and then applying a little post production at the end – it is about the journey of telling the emotion of your story – from the very moment I compose an image in my mind……the artwork begins. I often get asked about my “Magic Touch”.  This, for me, is my chance to bring the captured images to life. To become an artist! In recent times, I have found it particularly rewarding when I have had the opportunity to help someone to create the artworks they dreamed of.  When unfortunately the relative they relied on, “Uncle Bob”,  to deliver the photography for their wedding or special occasion, unfortunately was not able to create the images that they had been hoping for.  Even, sometimes, when you are starting with a great photograph in its own right, we are able to work with it further to breathe a little “magic” into it and create the masterpiece you dreamed of! I have a few examples here of the amazing difference a little ‘Magic Touch’ can bring to your precious memories on your special day.                 When this….                                     Can become this…                                                            (the original)                    An image can be created to become a centrepiece for your album..                      (The original)                                                          Kira’s Magic Touch                             (The Original)                                                         Kira’s Magic Touch A beautiful original photograph can be used to create the image of your dreams with a little Magic Touch!   If you would like to find out more about Art Photo By Kira’s “Magic Touch” please contact the studio on 02 94997778 or drop us an enquiry with details of your needs through our website Contact Us  Until next time, Kira

One Fine Day – a family portrait

I was very much looking forward to this family portrait shoot, as I already knew some of the people, having photographed the ‘kids’ engagement and their wedding was happening soon. I thought it would be good – I had no idea how great it would turn out to be; how much it would move me – this family shoot. All the family gathered around their Dad/Granddad, and I was watching them, finger on the shutter, forgetting to breathe sometimes; laughing, following their laughter; playing with them…laughing so hard that we all nearly cried. And then again…. watching….watching… a bit envious somehow… but also feeling privileged to be a witness to the simple ‘greatness’ of this beautiful family… Watching a son’s hands on his sister’s shoulders, holding her tight, so much love…watching kids faces lit up looking at their parents, laughing – so much love… and like a centrepiece – Granddad – his laughter going through the whole shoot, connecting everything together, making sense of it all. Not to miss a moment of laughter… not a moment of tenderness…     Until next time,Kira

Low Clouds and High Spirits! Lesley and Alex Wedding Day

At little while ago I told you about Lesley and the love of her life, Alex when I had the opportunity to photograph their magical pre-wedding session, well I am so happy to now show you the amazing day that was their wedding.  Even though the storm clouds were out, and at times we had to run to shelter from the rain, the spirits were always high for this wonderful, adventurous and fun loving couple and their friends and family. Thank you so much Lesley and Alex for letting me a part of your magical day!If you would like to see more from Lesley and Alex’s wedding day, take a look here.           Until next time, Kira
