A Moment of Reflection – Michelle and Andrew wedding teaser

Here is a quick reflection on the beautiful wedding of Michelle and Andrew.  They were married on a gorgeous private property in the NSW Central Coast.  I cant wait to finish working on their images so I can show you more of this wonderful day – but until then, enjoy this teaser  – and if you would like to see more, check out some images from Michelle and Andrew’s pre wedding session. Killer Smiles and Amazing Hugs – All in a days work!! Family portrait shoot preview

Thank you my gorgeous Linda and Asanka for bringing your parents and your precious little boy Preston in to the studio today for your portrait session. Preston has coloured my day so… I keep smiling…remembering our shoot, his laughter and the amazing hug that he gave me at the end… Makes me all soppy.  Rather than getting tougher, I think I am growing more and more sentimental with age! Funny about that.. By the way – I came up with a theory – All my gorgeous brides and grooms (as they such exceptional people inside and out) MUST, just simply MUST give birth to more and more kids – for they produce such gorgeous children!  So they can’t just have one child and then stop – that deprives the world of more gorgeous people and we just can’t have it. I insist! Here are a few teasers  – I couldn’t resist! That smile follows me! All my love, Kira

Insights from Kira: The Eyes

Want a powerful portrait? Make sure you capture their eyes. I can be short on words so I will borrow a few from others… The eyes sink to the heart to make the art. – Melanie Einzig “The eyes indicate the antiquity of the soul.” Ralph Waldo Emerson “The eye speaks with an eloquence and truthfulness surpassing speech. It is the window out of which the winged thoughts often fly unwittingly. It is the tiny magic mirror on whose crystal surface the moods of feeling fitfully play, like the sunlight and shadow on a still stream.” Henry Theodore Tuckerman  Once you really commence to see things, then you really commence to feel things. – Edward Steichen “I have looked into your eyes with my eyes. I have put my heart near your heart.” Pope John XXIII Until next time, Kira
